Definition and handling of cookies

If you do not accept the use of cookies, you can disable cookies in your browser’s security settings. You can activate a browser setting which alerts you each time a website attempts to store a cookie on your computer. Previously stored cookies can also be deleted via your browser. Access your browser’s help page for more information on how to check which cookies are stored in your browser, how to delete them, and how to set whether cookies are to be accepted or not.

The Swedish Post and Telecom Authority is the regulatory authority which oversees this area and provides further information about cookies on its website.

Cookies are used to improve the experience of users and to optimise the website. SafeSack’s websites use two types of cookie:

  • Persistent cookies save a file which is stored on the visitor’s computer. They are used to, for example, customise a website according to the visitor’s preferences, choices and interests, as well as for statistical purposes.
  • Sessions cookies. These cookies are stored in the computer’s memory temporarily while the visitor is on the website. Session cookies disappear when a visitor closes their browser.

SafeSack’s websites use both permanent cookies and session cookies. Regardless of the type of cookie used on this website, no personal information about the visitor is stored. The only personal information handled via SafeSack’s website is that which the visitor provides (e.g. name, email address, phone number) in order to, for instance, subscribe to SafeSack’s newsletter or register for a customer consultation. In such cases, the personal information is solely used in the capacity approved by the visitor.
